Just had to share this with you. Can you believe that he is crawling already? I know that I can't! He is having a little trouble crawling in his gown, but look at how he is moving along..... If you listen closely you will hear Whitt singing in the background, and yes, he is singing Talk Dirty to Me. Sorry! :( m

Whitt at 4...
I am still in shock that my baby turned 4 this month! Seems like just yesterday we brought him home from the hospital.
He has been such a big boy helping us with Hudson and being a great big brother. He is teaching Hudson all that he needs to know about rock and roll! It is amazing to me that I can do everything under the sun to make Hudson stop crying and all Whitt has to do is walk in the room and speak his name. Let's just hope that makes it through the teenage years!
Whitt is doing so much these days. Of course, he loves his music. He also loves Noggin. Little Bill and Oswald are his favorite shows. He is also recognizing a lot of words these days. He will look at the paper with Michael and will pick out words as he recognizes them and it truly amazes us! He also enjoys getting on the internet, playhousedisney is his favorite website these days.
He also loves going to the farm with his Papa and riding in the gator. This is a weekly outing for Whitt and Papa on Sunday afternoons. He also loves spending time with his Nina drawing and coloring special pictures for her.
I will stop bragging about my sweet baby and share these sweet pictures of him that I took over the weekend. Whitt is potty trained and only wears pull ups at night, so the picture of him in the pull up was right when he woke up. Whitt is a big boy and does not wear diapers (he begged me to put it on there. Please do not tell his friends that he still wears a pull up at night. That would ruin his rock star status!)

Hudson at 6 months
So much has changed for us in the Marks house this month....
*Hudson got a tooth (good for us, not good for Whitt)
*Hudson is crawling (good for us, not good for Callie)
*Hudson only says DaDa (sad for me, happy for Michael)
For the most part, it has been a fun time with Hudson this month. It is pretty interesting to watch him develop his own little personality and to interact with his big brother. With me being an only child, I have never experienced the love between siblings and it is truly amazing to watch my sweet boys together. Kinda makes me want to have another one.....then I wake up...hahahhahaha

Jaws returns.....
Yes, that is right, Hudson has his first tooth. It was extremely hard to get a picture of it, so no laughing! Please ignore the carrots on his face, at least he is eating his veggies! haha He loves to chew on everything in site and Whitt is learning that it is just not much fun to put his fingers in Hudson's mouth!
What a Month.....
There has been so much going on with us this month! My mother has been in Huntsville Hospital for 2 weeks 4 days and counting. Hopefully she will come home next week. This has been an eye opener for us though. She does so much for us and our kids and we have really missed her coming over.
Nina, we love you and are ready for you to come home!

Past and Present....
Whitt and I have been looking at pictures from the day that he was born until today. Wow, what memories. These were some of our favorites and I just wanted to share them.
Happy Birthday Whitt....
I can't believe that my baby is 4 today! It seems like just yesterday he was born. Oh how time flies when you are having fun.

All for Paxon....
On Friday, Cowart Elementary had a wonderful dedication assembly to remember Paxon. Mrs. Poole, the principal, did a fabulous job. She helped the children, teachers, family and friends remember the things that Paxon truly enjoyed. The school did a penny drive called Pennies for Paxon. The money that is raised from that will buy books for the library at Cowart. They also collected pop tops from coke cans. They collected enough to fill 6 gallon milk jugs. One milk jug full of tops will pay for dialyzes for 1 child in Nashville.
There were several people that talked about Paxon. Bayley Kornermann spoke about his best friend and how he will always remember his sweet smile. What a strong child to express his feelings among his family and friends. A teacher spoke of the 5reasons why Paxon loved Cowart, every word was the truth!
A local banker donated a Philip Rivers jersey for the school to either display or auction off to use the money as need in Paxon's memory. I hear that Philip will be in Alabama to rehab after his knee surgery and is going to sign the jersey. How cool is that?
A local contractor built a pavilion for the kids to use on the playground. They dedicated the pavilion to the school in memory of Paxon. I was so amazed at how many lives an 8 year old child can touch. One bad thing happens to a child and his family and the Cowart community pulls together to keep his spirit alive. It was truly heartwarming.
At the end of the assembly, we all received a red balloon. We went out to the front of the school and had a one minute of silence to remember a happy time with Paxon. Then we released the balloons. I was speechless.
I look forward to Whitt and Hudson joining the Cowart family!

Whitt Has Got Some Foam on His Head.....
While bathing Whitt the other night, he changed the words to our favorite Laurie Berkner Band song Laurie has a pig on her head to Whitt has got some foam on his head. What a fun child he is. He always keeps us on our toes and laughing!
m
Little Brother....
Hudson also had a fun time at the birthday party. He spent the first hour sleeping. Then he found a cool riding toy that he loved. Look at how big he looks! Before we know it we will be having his first birthday party!
m
Rock & Roll Party....
What a day it was for Whitt's birthday party! Friends, guitars, cake and pizza, all of his favorites!
Enjoy.

Recipe of the Day...
Well, I have the crockpot back out! Some of you know how much I love cooking in it. This is one of our favorite recipes and I wanted to share it.
Crockpot Lasagna
12 lasagna noodles, uncooked
1 pound ground beef, browned and drained
1 teaspoon italian seasoning
1 jar (28 oz) spaghetti sauce
1/4 cup of water
1 carton (16 oz) cottage cheese
2 cups mozzarella cheese
Break noodles in half. Place half of the noodles in the bottom of a greased slow cooker. Stir italian seasoning into meat and spread half over the noodles already in the slow cooker. Then layer half of the sauce and water, half of the cottage cheese, and half of the mozzarella cheese over the beef. Repeat layers. Cover and cook on low heat 4 - 5 hours. Do not cook more than 5 hours. Makes 6 - 8 servings.
Enjoy. We will be having this tonight!
