More Beach Pictures
Just a couple pictures that I took last week. There were tons of shells that had washed up and we had a ton of fun sorting through them.
Hudson's First Trip to the Beach....
Hudson seemed to love the beach just as much as we all did. He was such a great baby in the car and for the entire week. He actually slept all the way there and all the way back. The weather was wonderful so Michael and Whitt took him out in the sand and Whitt actually played in the ocean. Can you believe that? There were people in swim suits in the ocean to their waist. Not sure that it was that warm, but whatever.
Hudson also started rolling over and had his first cereal while in Gulf Shores. It is just amazing how fast he is growing and all the new stuff that he is doing. It seems like just yesterday we were bringing him home from the hospital.
Christmas Gifts
Whitt had a GREAT Christmas this year. Santa brought him a drum set, a new Kiss CD (with no make-up), playdough, lincoln logs, and lots of other goodies. Nina and Papa gave him a cool radio flyer scooter, microphone with stand and other stuff. Not really sure where all these goodies are going to go, but he sure is enjoying them all. Hudson got some great stuff too.
Christmas Eve Eve
The Marks Christmas was on Christmas Eve Eve this year and it was so much fun with the kids this year. Whitt and Claire stepped up to entertain. We normally have a rich girl/poor girl play with Lindsey and Grace. There is never a dull moment at the family gatherings. Here is a picture of the kids. This was a rushed picture so Hudson was not able to make it! They are growing up way to fast!
Christmas Dinner
Look at what Whitt made with his Christmas Dinner. I thought that it looked too cool to not share. We have always thought that a rock band would be in his future but culinary school could be in the running.
I have been tagged....
Here are the rules--1) Each player starts with eight random facts/habits about themselves.2) People who are tagged need to write a post on their own blog (about their eight things) and post these rules.3) At the end of your blog, you need to choose eight people to get tagged and list their names.4) Don’t forget to leave them a comment telling them they’re tagged, and to read your blog.
1. I love reality tv. I am strictly reality shows these days. I am soooo excited about American Idol starting soon. How sad is that?!?
2. I love to go on vacation and overpack, but i HATE to unpack. I am always so tired when i get home, that i just unpack as i need things for both me and the kids.
3. I love to take my time when I eat. I only get to do this when my parents or Michael are around. Michael says that it is painful to watch me eat. After a week of eating in about 2 seconds, it is nice to actually taste and enjoy your food.
4. I am not a great driver. I do way to much when i am driving. Talking on the phone, passing stuff to Whitt in the backseat and the list goes on.
5. I love looking at my friends' blogs and wish that more of my friends had them.
6. I am NEVER on time. I am going to try to do better in 2008, so i will list it as one of my resolutions. I am usually no more than 15 minutes late though :)
7. I love monogrammed stuff. I guess that is why I love Thirty-One. Anything with my name or my kids names on it and I have to get it.
8. I love to cook in the crock pot. I plan on doing more healthy foods for my family in the new year to shed some baby weight.
I don't know eight people to tag but am tagging these girls: Kelley, Lacy, and Anna Leigh.
Happy New Year!

I had to share this...
I found this poem on a blog today and I had to share it on my blog. As I read it I thought about the special little guy that will not be here this Christmas. I think about his parents, grandparents, friends and others that loved him so much. I wish that there was something that I could do to help with the pain they are feeling. I just can't imagine not having my boys here for Christmas. This poem seemed to comfort me as I read it and just had to share it.
My First Christmas in Heaven
I see the countless Christmas trees around the world below
With tiny lights, like Heaven's stars, reflecting on the snow.
The sight is so spectacular, please wipe away the tear,
For I am spending Christmas with Jesus Christ this year.
We hear the many Christmas songs the people hold so dear,
But sounds of music can't compare with the Christmas choir up here.
I have no words to tell you the joy their voices bring,
For it is beyond description to hear the angels sing.
I know how much you miss me, I see the pain inside your heart,
But I'm not so far away; we really aren't apart.
So be happy for me dear ones, you know I hold you dear,
And be glad I'm spending Christmas with Jesus Christ this year.
I sent you each a special gift from my heavenly home above,
I sent you each a memory of my undying love.
After all, love is a gift more precious than pure gold.
It was always most important in the stories Jesus told.
Please love and keep each other, as my Father said to do,
For I can't count the blessings or love He has for each of you.
So have a Merry Christmas and wipe away that tear.
Remember, I am spending Christmas with Jesus Christ this year.

Preschool Christmas Party
Monday was Whitt's last day of school for the year and his Christmas party. They had some tasty food and made a cool snow globe. Had a great time, once again Hudson slept through it!

First Friends Christmas Program
Friday was the Christmas Program for the 3's and 4's at First Friends. It was such a cute program and the kids were so funny! Whitt was a little scared at first but got it together towards the end. Ms. Suzanne read The Night Before Christmas and the kids sang songs during the breaks in the story. The best song of all was Joy to the World with the front punches!
By the way, Hudson slept through the entire thing!
Enjoy the pictures!

Sweet Baby Hudson
Not much needs to be said other than, he NEVER cries when Michael does this to him. With cheeks like his how can you not squeeze them????
The boys
This is just too cute to not share. Whitt loves Hudson. When Whitt first wakes up every morning, Hudson is the first person that he talks to. Hudson's eyes just light up when Whitt is around him. It is amazing to watch the two interact. I hope that the love is still strong when Hudson can start defending himself! hahahahah

Decorating "THE" Christmas Tree
After putting up the family Christmas tree, my dear son, Whitt, decided that he had to have a tree in his room. I was fine with that. So I brought in a little 4 foot tree with clear lights. Whitt said NO, and we then brought a larger tree to his room. Then off to Walmart to get some colored light and a star to top this tree. After about 15 minutes and telling me numerous times that is not a pretty star, he picked THE perfect one. So his tree consists of big colored lights, his perfect star and pipe cleaners. Yes, i did say pipe cleaners. We used our imagination and made some pretty cool ornaments with those pipe cleaners. Now the cat is loving pulling those pipe cleaners off the tree, and I am finding them everywhere! What a zoo, but I love it! And as Whitt says, "it is the best tree, eber!"

Here comes Santa Claus....
I took the boys to Parkway Place to see Santa on Tuesday and they both had such a great time. Santa looked great and was such a nice man. We were the only ones there to see him so he really took a lot of time with them. When asked what he wanted for Christmas, Whitt replied, "I guess drums and a microphone with a stand." Santa said that is a little boy that knows what he wants. I laughed! Hudson LOVED Santa. We took the picture first and then we talked with him. During the conversation, Hudson snuggled with Santa and went sound to sleep. He did cry when I took him from Santa. The little jolly man told me if I had more shopping to do just leave the little guy with him and swing back by. And by the way, I didn't leave him! hahahah
I would highly recommend you all take your kids to see this Santa. He told me that Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday are slow days so take advantage of it!

Whitt and Claire
Whitt and Claire are the best of friends, well, most of the time! hahaha They had such a good time playing together last week and I grabbed the camera and caught these precious pictures. Love these pictures and love to watch them have so much fun.

New Pictures of Hudson
Hudson is growing so fast and I can't believe that he is already 2 months old. He went last week to see Dr. Zbell and he is a whopping 14 pounds 2 ounces! He is smiling so much now and, like Daddy, he loves to sleep in the recliner.
Enjoy.
Move Over Martha....
Mandy is in town. Look at this cute cookie that I did for Whitt's class. He was so excited about them and the class loved them. I have never been one to be so crafty, but since Hudson has been born I have been. WEIRD!
m
Better late than never....
I know, I know, a little late for Halloween pictures. Just wanted to post these. Of course, Whitt was Murray Wiggle and Hudson was a chili pepper.

Check this out...
Just had to share this cool image of Whitt with his keyboard and microphone (aka drum stick) singing Crazy Car by The Naked Brothers Band.
Growing up to fast....
Hudson is now 7 weeks old and I am not sure where the time has gone! According to our scales he is getting close to 13 pounds, can you believe that???? He is now smiling, laughing and is all around more alert. He has a precious little personality and reminds me so much of Whitt at this age. Enjoy some pictures that I took tonight of Michael, Whitt and Hudson. What a trio!

Best Friends
I took this picture of Whitt and Patrick at the George's Farm and just had to share it. Patrick is one of Whitt's best friends and they "rock" the class every Monday, Wednesday and Friday. They both are very into music and creating their own band. I look forward to watching them grow up together and see if they continue with their band!
I also took the picture of Whitt and Claire at the farm. I thought that this picture was too sweet to not share!
m
A Day at the Farm....
We went on Wednesday to the George's Farm with Whitt's class. They had so much fun! They had a hayride, picked a pumpkin, looked at and some touched a pony (can you tell that Whitt didn't like the pony? and picked a pumpkin.
Hudson enjoyed the morning at the farm in the Baby Bjorn with JuJu.

A Growing Boy
I took Hudson to the doctor today for his 2 week check-up and he is growing so fast. He is now 22 inches long (which was exactly what Whitt was at this appointment!) and 9 pounds 15 ounces. Everything looks good with him and he goes back in November.

Fun times at the Marks home
Well, Hudson is officially 1 week and 2 day old. He is growing so fast and is changing more and more everyday. He is a great little sleeper during the day and a healthy eater! Not liking formula, he is strictly relying on me these days, whew.
Whitt has done a great job with becoming a big brother. Never would have thought that it would have been this easy for him or for Michael and I. It is kinda scary!
On Monday, we took Hudson to meet Dr. Zbell and he is now weighing 8 pounds and 7 ounces. I should have known not to take Whitt with us, because if we ever go to the doctor well, we are back that week sick. So i took Whitt back to see Dr. Z yesterday and he has an ear infection and is on a steriod and antibotic. We are doing massive breathing treatments and will do a breathing treatment every night until Spring, can you believe that? Amazing.
I am posting some new pictures of Whitt and Hudson that we have taken this week. Did I mention that when Hudson does get a bottle, that he holds it himself??? Wild.
Michael goes back to work next week, so i hope that this easy addition of child #2 continues.
Until later....

Here are the plans....
Well, after going to the doctor today, he has decided to put me in tonight at 8:00. He will start the medicine for the induction tonight at 10:00. He seems to think that the baby will be here in the morning or early afternoon. We did the same thing with Whitt and he was born at 7:31 am. i hope that it goes as smooth with Hudson as with Whitt.
Did i mention that i have gained 5 pounds in 1 week? Jeeeeezzzzz!
Please keep Whitt in your prayers.

Keep your fingers crossed....
I go back to the doctor tomorrow at 2:15. I am hoping to go in on Wednesday but we will see. That would mean that Hudson would be born on my great uncles birthday. He was more like a grandfather to me and I know that it would mean a lot to my Grandmother and Mother. More than anything I just want to have a healthy baby regardless of the actual birth day.
Michael is also ready for some much needed time off from work.
Whitt learned about Doctors and Nurses today at school so he thinks that he is ready to help out with the birth of Baby Hudson. Poor little guy. He is so excited for the baby to get here, I hope that continues.
Please just keep our family in your prayers.
I will post as soon as I know the plans.

A long day at home with Whitt.
After a long day at home with Whitt, I am seeing just how much my little guy is growing up. He is getting so independent and he wants to do 90% of everything all by himself. I sure hope that continues!
He is also recognizing a ton of words. It is amazing how many he knows. Pizza, blue, brown, pink, baby, wiggle, and the list goes on. I really do need to keep up with all of this better than I do now.
He started choir yesterday and is so excited. He is in the cherub choir at church and attends with all of his friends. He will even be in the Christmas program this year, I can't wait to see how that goes. He is great at performing KISS and AC/DC so i hope that he will do just as great with the songs that his instructor gives him.
Until next time....

Today at the Dr.....
I found out that i am still only 2 cm. I measured 37 weeks last week, but today i measured a BIG 39 weeks. He was amazed at how much my tummy has grown. He said that we would talk about which day he would induce next week. It looks like baby Hudson could be here by next Thursday at the latest! WOW.
Sunday, September 2, 2007
well.....
I went to the dr. on Tuesday and I am now officially 2 cm. I go back this Tuesday, so i hope to post as soon as i know something. Dr. Carlota told me that he thinks that i could go 40 weeks, but would induce if i have not had the baby by 39 weeks. I am now so READY for this baby to get here.
Until Tuesday........

August and September Thirty-One Specials......
Please visit my website, www.mythirtyone.com/1193 to view our monthly specials. They are great and this is a great time to start thinking about birthday and Christmas gifts!!!!
This Weeks Doctor Visit......
I went to Dr. Carlota on Tuesday for my weekly visit. I was shocked to find out that I had lost 1/2 pound! With Whitt I was pushing 45 pounds by this point and with this baby only 26 pounds so far, amazing! I have also dilated 1 1/2 cm.
After my 3D ultrasound he decided that the baby is probably about 6 pounds.
He thinks that I will be able to carry the baby until i am 39 weeks, like I did with Whitt. I am 36 weeks today.

My Little Rocker
As most of you know, my child is a little rocker! Loves KISS, AC/DC, Taylor Hicks, The Black Crowes, Johnny Cash and many many more. Every morning when he wakes up he gathers all of his instruments (my pots, pans, wooden spoons and his guitars) and places them on the living room. It would not be a "normal" day in the Marks home if I didn't see all this garb on the living room floor. He is quite a pro at it too. Everything has to be just so so or he will not perform. We have spent many days and nights watching him perform on his stage and clapping nonstop. Enjoy the pictures and you might want to go ahead and get his autograph!
Welcome to my blog..........
Ok, so i am really trying to get with it in the blogging world and try this out. I am creating this blog to keep everyone up-to-date on our growing family along with my Thirty-One business. There is so much going on in our lives these days and I want to share it all with you. So get ready, set, and here we go................
